Privacy Policy
Last updated: Apr 25, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Koda ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service").
2. Information we collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information. Email address, name, authentication data, and basic profile details you provide when you sign up.
- Usage information. Logs about how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed, features used, and timestamps.
- Product analytics (PostHog). We use PostHog, a product analytics platform, to measure how the Service is used—for example page views, navigation, and certain in-product events. When you are signed in, we may associate those events with your account identifier (such as your user ID) so we can understand flows like sign-up and purchases. PostHog processes this information on our behalf. You can read PostHog's privacy practices at posthog.com/privacy.
- Content you provide. Prompts, project descriptions, screenshots, URLs, and other inputs you upload to use Koda.
- Device & technical data. Browser type, operating system, IP address, and similar diagnostic data.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Improve and develop new features, models, and workflows.
- Personalize your experience and remember your preferences.
- Monitor usage, prevent abuse, and ensure the security of the Service.
- Analyze product usage, conversion, and reliability with tools such as PostHog to improve the Service.
- Communicate with you about updates, support, and marketing (where permitted by law).
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited situations:
- Service providers. With trusted vendors who help us host, operate, or support the Service, under contractual confidentiality obligations. This includes analytics providers such as PostHog, who receive usage and technical data as described in this Policy.
- Legal requirements. When required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may anonymize or aggregate data so that it no longer identifies you, and use that information for analytics and product improvement.
6. Your choices
- You can update certain account information directly in the product.
- You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the links in those messages.
- Subject to local law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal information we hold about you.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we design Koda with security and privacy in mind.
8. International use
If you access the Service from outside the country where it is hosted, you understand that your information may be processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide appropriate notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
10. Contact
